Pelvic ultrasound examination alone

A transvaginal ultrasound includes assessment for pelvic pathology, including:

early pregnancy assessment
uterine abnormalities (adenomyosis, congenital uterine abnormalities, detection and mapping of uterine fibroids)
ovarian cysts and adnexal lesions
detection and mapping of pelvic endometriosis with examination of the large bowel and urinary tract
